WordPress and IE no friends?

Mmmmh – I do love WordPress…. I do love my Firefox…….. I even really like Chrome….

But I start to HATE Windows Explorer….. and why…??

Cause it seems to work different than Firefox and Chrome with Wordpress…. or the code used in WordPress…

Last week I started with a little tutorial on how to make my own theme for WordPress… I really loved doing that… until the point where I was working in the CSS and they told me to open both Firefox and IE…..

I needed to make a border around the part where the postmetadata….that was a fun one…. because that kind of stuff SHOULD make your theme… the creative part….
BUT; the border didn’t show up on my IE….. It was nicely working in Firefox and Chrome….
I was looking in the tutorial – no solution…. started googling…… Well – the only conclusion I could find is…….. “IE doesn’t work the same way – so….. it won’t work….”. And a good solution I didn’t find…

So; the whole time I have been blogging – I was only looking at my Firefox…. and everything looks nice…….(well – in my opinion…  ;)   ).
But it seems that more stuff isn’t working nicely in IE…..
My Recent Posts and Recent Comments on my other blog (www.sightproject.com) – are just lining through the sidebar…… and is not nicely fitting….. And this happens with all the themes I tried….

Some shouting and yelling over here….
Well – tomorrow is another day…… and maybe I will find the solution……

(can’t we just all start using Firefox…?? Please…???)

  1. IE is dealing with websites in a very weird manner! I prefer Firefox as No 1 and Opera as No 2!

  2. Yep – I also prefer Firefox, but not everybody is….. and I would like to make my blogs in such a way – they look the same in Firefox and IE…… But seems to be impossible… :(

  3. It is because IE does not follow W3C standards. They failed ACID test of W3C. YOu can hope that IE7, IE8 will be better.
