Three amazing women meet in Buenos Aires

Madonna, Argentinian president Cristina Fernandez and Colombian-French politician Ingrid Betancourt met in Buenos Aires last night. Betancourt, held captive by the FARC in Colombia for 2,321 days before she was liberated last summer, was in Argentina to get support from the Argentinian government in her effort to get more hostages free. Madonna was in town for her Sticky & Sweet world tour. She played Eva Peron, First Lady of Argentina in the early 1950s, in the 1996 movie Evita.
Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner acted as First Lady when her husband, Nestor Kirchner, was president. She succeeded him after winning the elections already in the first round, and took office in December 2007.
