This spamcomment almost tricked me…
I have been posting before about spam via the commenting on blogs….
In stead of sending you an email – in which they ask you to go to their homepage….. they are posting a comment on webblogs, hoping that someone is going to click a link they are mentioning.
I have no idea about HOW they do it…. some have an “automated†system…. And within 5 minutes I will get 20 spamcomments…..
We, the bloggers, have some tricks to make “sure†those spamcomments are not appearing in the posts. Some use a little script – which is asking the person who makes a comment for a word to re-type. This makes sure that the “automated spammers†do not have a change….
Some use little programs which are filtering the spamcomments out…. And the blogger first need to give an “okay†to such a comment.
I am using one of those filterprograms – Akismet – and it works really nice.
If I give an okay to one; it remembers the person who did the comment; so the next comment will always get approval.
Every day I will have a couple of messages in the “spamfolderâ€â€¦.
This morning I had a “surprising oneâ€â€¦.. at first I thought that Akismet made a mistake (which sometimes happens…..). A comment which was telling me that I am using a good title for a certain post……
But then I saw a second comment….. Uh……. asking me if I am making some titles to get readers…and this title is not referring to the post…. This title and post where both referring to a new post I did on my other weblog SightProject…….. = how can that be a “wrong†title…??
And both comments from different IP addresses – BUT using the SAME name and using the same homepage…..
Yep – Akismet was right…. but…. I have to say….. those “spammers are getting very good at what they do…..â€

Spam comments are really getting more and more sophisticated. Sometimes at first look I couldn’t tell too until I looked at other information like the URL they entered or their names. It is a good thing that most time spam comments are just rubbish.
