Thief exposed…..
Again a case in which I am not sure if I agree or not….
What; if you have a computer store…. and your stored gets burgled for the 10th time….. and you get your hands on the burglar….?
Your experience of the last times the police got the burglars; they go free after a couple of hours (or sometimes days)…..
Owner of a computerstore in Charleroi (Belgium) had his own ideas about this…..; he took off the burglar his clothes…. and tied him (with just his underpants on to a pole. Which was even located on the busiest spot of the town.
AND the shop owner took a nice big black marker and wrote;Â “I AM A THIEF” on the guys chest…..
After an hour – someone untied him…..
The shop owner could now be arrested and charged for kidnapping and torturing.
I totally understand the shop owner…… but……but…. but……
What “but”…?? I could imagine doing the same……
Again, sign of the times: the decline of western civilization…
First, a failure of the government, not able to protect its citizens, so the owner of the store gets robbed no less than ten times.
Second, though understandable, the frustrated store owner resorts to medieval practices.
Third, again a failure of the government as the thief is on display for more than an hour on the busiest spot in town, and it’s actually a bystander stepping in, not the police…
and fourth; because of that lack of the Government – the writer of the articles is now even saying that he probably would do the same !!
Yes, what the store owner did was wrong, but it’s very understandable. The store owner must have been really frustrated. If the store owner is prosecuted, let’s see if the court also takes into account that it was the 10th time he was robbed…
