Harmonix lead designer, Rob Kay, of Rockband has been trying to defend the high price of Rockband in Europe.

In an interview with Eurogamer.net he was mentioned that a few reasons where “the higher electronic prices within Europe” and the “VAT”……
I have to say – he also said; “these are definitely not excuses so much as contributing reasons”

Surely – this man is a designer and not an economic genius….. if we just start with the dollar against the euro….. the VAT is more than gone – and still has a difference of 20-30 percent – which should make the euro price +/- 145,–

Furthermore also saying that he doesn’t know what the retailers etc. do….. uh…. then how can you “announce a price”…???

Only one point I probably have to agree with; Rockband is not just another game….

But – I also think that EA – Harmonix – MTV don’t want us to enjoy this “not just another game”….. WITH THAT PRICE…???

Oh yeah – almost forgot; seems that ONLY England will be “enjoying” Rockband from the 23rd of May…..
The other countries…. uh… will follow…??
