Holiday Time; New York and concert

StatueOfLibertyFoggyThursday, 11th of June

New York time !!!
We had a nice Dutch booklet – which has some walking routes through New York City…..
First we started with a little breakfast at Starbucks – walk to the subway – and went “downtown” – as in “to Manhattan”…… we took the (yep – we are Dutch) free ferry to State Island and back.
It was really foggy – so it was “hard to see” the Statue of Liberty. BUT we did see it….   ;)

Then a big walk back;

Financial District – Wall Street

the 9/11 memorial part

China Town

Little Italy

SoHo

And I have to say “all amazing”….. but I was really surprised by Soho…. nice little streets – nice restaurants… And I had one of my best ever pizzas at Spunto at 65 Carmine Street!

After the early dinner; time to get back to the hotel…..
Getting ready for “THE CONCERT”…..

The concert of Fleetwood Mac at Madisson Square Garden…..!

Well; just one word uh…??
WOW!!!

And it was really WOW- they played for more than 2 hours…… As I am not one of the “die-hard fans”…. I also heard some “new songs”….. (well – to me….lol)

Yep – an amazing experience….
Just one little “disappointment”….. as I was sitting a bit more up…. and I am a drummer myselve….. I noticed another drummer on stage…. just behind all the amps and in the dark. Behind Mick Fleetwood – on the right….. Uh….. WHY….???

Is he too old….??

** disappointed face on Sjeltur **

But ah – the concert was amazing !!
