An article about Guitar Hero 3 – and their huge success in the USA = but also admitting that they “forgot about Europe”. Yep – they just “forgot to send enough games” . According to the article – Guitar Hero (as game) is a year behind in Europe………….
But they also see a nice milking cow in the GH3 serie; introducing songs of upcoming movies; Kung Fu Panda and the new James Bond.

Activision Chief Executive Bobby Kotick explained that they are also looking into local content. Like Spain alreadyhas Heroes Del Silencio (ONE OF MY FAVOURITE SONGS) – Germany the Wir sind Helden. Maybe some suggestions; I would like songs of dEUS – Hooverphonic – Zita Swoon – Within Temptation (and I have more Dutch bands – but then I go to some “unknown bands”….. – who knows The Wounded – Clan of Xymox…??). Sorry – from the Dutch market – I am not so “proud of the more famous ones’…. hahahah

But okay – am not sure if the “thinking” of Activision is good enough. They HAD a totally open market in Europe; but now they are awaiting the competition of Band Mashups and Rockband. And I bet they will come with similar ideas. And as far as I can see – in Europe there is no Rockband yet = Rockband is already way more into intruducing new songs….
Little marketing mistakes; I am affraid that the profit you made – will disappear if you put too much effort in “winning the european market” = being FAST is the keyword in the entertainment (GAMING) business.
