Dutch Liberation Day….

vrijheidThe 5th of May is Liberation Day in Holland….. On this day in 1945 we got “official rid off the Germans”.
The day we say we celebrate our freedom…..!!

On one of my other blogs I wrote (in Dutch);

Een land die zich steeds meer hervormd als een politie-staat.
Een land waar de autochtone bevolking vindt dat de allochtonen moeten oprotten…..!
Dat land viert vandaag zijn “vrijheid”…..!!

A country which is turning more and more into a police state.
A country where the native people say the foreigners/not natives should leave the country right this minute…..!
Today this country is celebrating his “Freedom”…..!!

It seems that, while the survivors of World War 2 are “disappearing”,  our freedom is also disappearing….

Okay – that was the serious touch of today – now I will continue with a complaint……
In Holland we have the bars etc “complaining” about the fact they make less money and it is getting harder to survive… BLAH BLAH BLAH…

Well; I don’t feel sorry for you at all !!!
As long as you use days as “Liberation Day” to make 1000% profit on the drinks……
(price of glass of white wine – bought in a grocery store; 30 eurocents – put some labor cost on it – cost at the bar during Liberation Day; 4 euro…..)
And for the Dutch; this is a freaking 10 guilder…..!!

So enough complaining…. ready for bed.

  1. Liberation Day in The Netherlands: an outlet for government propaganda and greedy businesses taking advantage… A merger between those is called ‘fascism’ and paradoxically this is the thing we got liberated from decades ago…

Will people still celebrate Liberation Day in, say, 100 years? Probably not in it’s current shape. Perhaps people will celebrate Liberation Day 2.0, maybe a future generation will bring down the electronic prison that’s in preparation full swing, right now by our current rulers, to be perfected in the years to come…

Or not, as it perhaps turns out that the idea of a free and open society was just a very brief footnote in history and we’re thrown back in a new Dark Age.

Unfortunatly, this observation is very true… :(
