We all have our days on which we do something and we say  “this was one of the most exciting things I have ever done…”…..

I remember with one activity I said such a thing  (and I still keep saying that !);  wild water rafting in Costa Rica…..

Well; I think I can add one to this short list !!
Today I flew with an aeroplane….

HAHAHAH – Sjeltur…. LOTS OF PEOPLE DO THAT…..

Uh… yeah I know = but I flew with (uh… the pilot flew… ) the Catalina PH-PBY.

A water plane – originally made to be a patrol bomber…. a flying boat…..
We started to take off in Lelystad – from a little airport…. went to a huge water (IJsselmeer) and did a “splash and go” = so…….. going down to the water – and go with more than 100km per hour over the waves !!  (fastest speedboat in Holland can do 95km per hour)……and then back into the air again….

I can not really describe all this…..  but it was pure excitement !!!
