Control and Closer to Curtis
As you can see in my Twitter posts; I went to the movie “Control“Â by Anton Corbijn. A movie about the life of Ian Curtis, the leadsinger of Joy Division.
I already saw this movie before in the normal theater; really thought it was amazing !!!
But this time I went to “het Bolwerk” in Sneek; where they where playing the movie AND after that the band “Closer to Curtis“Â was playing.
“Closer to Curtis” is a Joy Division cover band – specially put together to do shows in combination with the movie….
And what can I say; except for WOW….??
It was really amazing; I am even wondering if Joy Division was able to put such a GOOD and GREAT live show on stage.
I have some recordings
of the old concerts…… nah – I don’t think so….  
But okay – I wish
I could have seem them for real = but the band “Closer to Curtis” is getting daaaaaaaaaamn close(r)
