Chrysler PT-cruiser; my icon R.I.P….
Yep – a “sad day” for me…
Today they had an article on the LA Times; Chrysler is going to stop the production of the PT-cruiser coming summer….
And why a sad day for Sjeltur…??
I have been driving in one of those nice cars for years….
It drove amazing – the (leather) seats….- the looks – the…. well – the whole package was just really nice.
I got that one in 2001 – new in Europe…. so I got a lot of attention….
But yeah; it was gotten to expensive to keep driving it… the garage bills – the amount of fuel it was using… So I got a little car instead….
Yep – that was also a sad day!!
And now; the stop of production…. well; not really weird – they hardly did any changes on the car and probably people got “bored” with it…. Which resulted in 49% less PT-Cruisers sold in 2008.
Ah well – I did enjoy driving it though….
And maybe someday – buying one to use as my retro-holiday-hobby car..??
There are cars that will be around forever. Every once and a while you still see old style Beetles on the road, same will probably happen with this one because of its unique character.
