Toch een beetje eng uh….?
Vorige week las ik een bericht, via GetClicky.com, over Google en hun tracking gegevens.

In het heel kort; homepage eigenaren/beheerders maken vaak gebruik van een programma om hun bezoekers te tracken. Dus; ik kan zien met welk ip adres een bezoeker op MijniPad.net komt;

• uit welk land komen mijn bezoekers
• welk artikel wordt (het meest) gelezen)
• HOE komen ze binnen – rechtstreeks of via een andere homepage
• komen ze via Google zoekmachine binnen – welke zoekwoorden hebben ze dan gebruikt?

En het klinkt raar; maar die zoekwoorden zijn zeer belangrijk voor ‘ons’.
Zo kan ik zien wat mijn bezoekers belangrijk vinden en wat voor vragen ze eigenlijk over de iPad hebben.
Zo is het mij duidelijk dat de artikelen over ‘apps verwijderen’ en ‘ipad handleiding’ vaak worden bezocht via Google.
MAAR ook zag ik voorbij komen ‘ipad muziek verwijderen’.
Dit kon met de oude iOS op de o{ad niet – dus – heb ik daar ook maar een post over geschreven.
En deze post aangevuld, op het moment dat het wel mogelijk was.
Dus; die artikelen zijn er gekomen – omdat ik zag dat dat ‘vragen aan Google waren’.

Maar okay; het bericht van GetClicky.com; Google heeft laten weten aan hun concollega trackers dat ‘als een gebruiker bij Google is ingelogd – er geen gegevens meer bij komen te staan, waarin de zoekwoorden zijn vermeld’.
Kort gezegd; ik ben met mijn Gmail ingelogd – ik ga op Google zoeken naar ‘handleiding ipad’ – klik op artikel van MijniPad.net => wordt er weergegeven dat ik binnen ben gekomen met zoekwoorden ‘unknown’.

Dat is een mooie manier van Google om hun Concollega’s uit te schakelen – want Google biedt zelf Analystics aan (als tracker).

Maar wat schetste mijn verbazing gisteren..?
Ik ben, op mijn WERK computer (ander ip adres, dan thuis) op een bepaald woord aan het zoeken; terwijl ik via Gmail ben ingelogd bij Google.
Kom ik thuis en heb dus ook ingelogd bij Gmail….., ga aan het surfen en wat schetst mijn verbazing; zie ik allemaal banners van Google voorbij komen die referreren naar het woord waar ik op het werk naar aan het zoeken was.

Dus; Google zet niet alleen een cookie op je computer – zij houden ook bij (via jouw LogIn) per gebruiker waar ze naar zoeken en confronteren de gebruiker ook op een andere plek/plaats met die zoekopdrachten.

Dat is een echte; BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU….., ten koste van de concurrentie!

Ik ga toch proberen om iets meer snelle hersenspinsels, leuke video’s/plaatjes etc en nieuwsberichten (die ik interessant vind) toe te voegen.
 
Vandaag zag ik een Tweet van Gonny van iPhoneClub.nl; 
Dappere keuze. Macstories gaat reacties uitschakelen op hun website. http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/macstoriesn 

Als admin van een relatief kleine blog , zit ik dit met verbazing te bekijken.
Natuurlijk heb ik het artikel ook gelezen, paar punten zijn

• Teveel spam
• Teveel onrelevante comments
• Vergt veel onderhoud
• Comments op oude Posts, dus oude software etc

Tuurlijk zijn dit ‘zorgen’ van een Blog…!

MAAR vergeet niet; zonder die zorgen ben je geen blog, maar een ‘doodgewone’ website!
Even een paar van mijn reacties;

• Spam; heb je genoeg plugins etc voor…., deal with it, net als dat ik ook accepteer dat jouw blog mij overspoeld met reclame!
• Onrelevante comments; tja, hoort er bij…, maar zorgt ook voor discussies en nieuwe denkwijzen; misschien vind jij het niet relevant…., maar de rest van de lezers dan?
• Onderhoud; ja, potjandorie, jij wilt toch een hippe blog zijn…? Niet het werk er van? Ga jezelf dan even snel ‘website’ noemen!
• Oude Posts; wederom genoeg plugins om dit te voorkomen, zet een tijdslimiet op comments…klaar!

Valt me een beetje tegen van Gonnyndat ze dit dapper vind…., zegt ze dat ze meer betrokkenheid bij de community wil en dan toch voor het afsluiten van je publiek zijn?

 
Tuurlijk, ik heb makkelijk praten, op MijniPad.net komen niet zoveel comments binnen; met elke comment ben ik weer blij….. 
Ik durf te wedden dat ook de mensen van MacStories, in hun begin dagen, zo trots waren met de toename van comments….. Ik denk dat zelfs de iPhoneClub hier wel heel blij mee WAS….
 
 
 

Grappig toch; een IMF die onze rente aftrek onder de loep gaat nemen. En dan met de conclusie komt dat het ‘gevraarlijk is voor de economie’…!

Pak al die landen van het IMF eens bijelkaar…..; 185 landen….. ik vraag me af hoeveel van die landen ook maar enigszins kunnen tippen aan de Nederlandse economie….

Waarschijnlijk was dat onderzoek van het IMF niet gericht op het onderzoeken….., maar zorgen dat er weer een kantoor wat (onzinnig?) werk had te doen….!

Tijd voor veranderingen op Sjeltur.nl; er is de laatste tijd niet geschreven….. – MijniPad.net en OnMyiPad.net zijn behoorlijke projecten….; waar ook veel tijd in gaat zitten.

Vooral daardoor is er nog weinig op Sjeltur.nl gebeurd.

Maar deze verandering gaat echt niet betekenen dat er nu dagelijks nieuwe posts/ervaringen van mij zullen staan!

Sjeltur.nl blijft bestaan – omdat ik het gevoel heb dat ik toch nog een andere uitlaatklep nodig heb… Dit zal geen dagelijkse uitlaatklep zijn… OF misschien ook wel…

Ik moet er gewoon nog even goed over nadenken wat er met Sjeltur.nl gaat gebeuren; maar vast staat – het gaat ‘op zijn Nederlands’…
Wel laat ik alle oude posts staan; je gelooft het of niet….. – maar dagelijks komen er toch nog tussen de 100 en 200 mensen langs!
Vooral dankzij Google!

Tja – de Engelstalige lezers zullen het raar gaan vinden dat ze dan een artikel hebben gevonden – waar nu ‘plots’ een andere taal wordt gebruikt…

Maar okay – ik ga me nu voorbereiden op vrijdag -> de nieuw iPad2 komt uit…..en dat zal wat drukte gaan veroorzaken op MijniPad.net…!

As you probably did notice…. there is absolutely not a lot happening on Sjeltur.nl….
One of the main reasons is MijniPad.net and OnMyiPad.net => both sites are taking up a lot of time….

BUT; this doesn’t mean Sjeltur.nl is gone…….
BUT; it does mean – there will be some changes!

From now on; Sjeltur.nl will change into a dutch weblog…. written in Dutch…..!

Today I saw an article about Germany, being the 2nd largest exporter in the world…
I was a bit surprised…., but then realized; they do have Mercedes, BMW, Siemens and a lot more….

Then it hit me……., just before I went on my holiday, the euro went totally down.
First we had the Greek going bankrupt, then the stories about Spain going down…., maybe Portugal going down…..
And then; prime minister of Germany, Merkel, is telling the whole world we (the European Community) is facing hard time and she is wondering about the Greek; will they be able to pay us back. Next step; the President of the federal bank of Germany is also telling about the hard times we are facing…..
And again, Merkel is making a speech about the crisis….and her doubts…

During this period of time, the euro went down from 1,35 to 1,25….
With falling further after all then speeches of those Germans….

Until today, I thought they where just plain dumb…as it would help the value of the euro going further down.
But now….I do realize it is helping the Germans, as the world second exporter; they would sell more cars…more tvs etc etc…..
And now I am wondering; did Merkel give those speeches on purpose….? Did she want the euro to go down…??
Is it her fault my holiday in the USA was that expensive…? With the rate of 1,18?
They are selling more BMWs and Mercedesses……. And the rest of the EU is paying the bill….!

Just wanted to give a little update on the post I did about the “vacuum cleaners” we have in Holland….
(previous post; Am I overlooking something)

Almost seems like I do have some influence in “the world politics”…..; because now (all of a sudden?) the USA asked the European Community to help with cleaning the oil in the Mexican Gulf….

And of course the Dutch (and Spain) did react on this request….; we will send those cleaners ASAP via plane to Houston and New Orleans!!

Absolutely good news uh..??
(I am just wondering; why not a couple of weeks earlier..??)

Maybe I am just plain dumb….. and I do not understand how “it all works”…..
But I am looking at the situation in the Mexican Gulf….. and I keep wondering…. (already for weeks);

why is nothing happening overthere..??
Mr.Obama had an angry speech in which he says that the “who is responsible”-fight should stop and BP (or who ever) should work on a solution….

I have been watching some tv programs in Holland – in which some companies are explaining what they could have done…..
Nope; nobody has a solution…. but some where mentioning huge “vacuum cleaners”….. they have some “side skirts” for ships – which can take the oil out of the water and put it in another ship.

A very safe and good solution – which would really get most of the oil out of the water….

My point….??

I really do not get why the USA Government didn’t get all those vacuumcleaners together in the Mexican Gulf and start cleaning it that way..?? Just there – where the leak is…. !
Why are they “just’” wating for a solution of BP…?

If I was the President of the USA…. after one week of disaster, there would have been hundreds of those cleaning ships…….
But maybe the problem is; if I was the President of the USA – my wallet would be empty…… and I would not be able to garantuee payment for the cleaning job…?

I really have no idea…. but if I look at that area…. it makes me SAD!!

Today something horrible happened; an African Airplane crashed in Libya and 103 people died during the accident.

61 of them where Dutch – and only one (also Dutch) kid survived the plane crash.

I really feel sorry for all the people involved…..!!

Today – someone, in a Dutch tv program, said something like “I called one of my friends – he was not on that flight – so I got back to my day routine…..”
Some people thought that was a bit strange to say and he reacted in a way of “If they where British – it would have been way less horrible and it would be aired on Dutch tv way less”……
This guy is now also on the news……a lot.
But is he right…?

I do think so…..;
The world is getting smaller – with being able to travel anywhere, to speak to everybody, to be updated about everything…….. is maybe also making our involvement smaller….
Less and less “other people”….. more and more “my little world”……

Yep – I do understand why this guy, Hugo Borst, did say this….. but it is sad…. isn’t it..?

This weekend I saw another episode of “Cold Case”……

I didn’t think this was a “great episode”….. but something did get my attention; at one point – a suspect of a murder is explaining a certain quote he made: “triumph of evil”.
He said this was not the full quote – it was just a little part of it….; “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing”.

Maybe weird; but I never did hear this one before…. apparently this one is written or said by an English philosopher; Edmund Burke!

I do not know how the situation is in other countries; but in Holland we have big problems with people getting violent against police/nurces/ambulance people/fireman/etcetc….
But also just people against eachother….

And we all have the thought of “how and why can this happen?”…..

To me it seems that mr.Edmund Burke has given us the answer….
