Aaaah - you do see it as the product "phone".....
We are looking at it a bit different;
I see it as - like computers - a phone WITH software....
(As Apple would probably find it insulting to see the iPhone as just a phone...)
I do own a little handy computer - which is also able to make phone calls = but I am not allowed to change the safari browser into internet explorer...

Ok - with phones... mmmmh - you could (or are) right...
But with this new computer product iPad; I do think Apple should get problems !!

"but in my country the iPhone is making between the 80 and 90 procent of all the mobile phone internet data….!!"

Ah, but that's doesn't mean that other phones don't offer internet surfing ability! I'm sure there are plenty of others that do it, but, for whatever reason, iPhone users just go online more!

So you could buy any number of Nokias, Ericssons, Motorola's etc and go online, but apparently people with these phones don't.

The point is, unlike the PC OS market, there are plenty of alternatives to the iPhone, thank God. I personally wouldn't touch one. I mean it's a nice phone, but the stats are *years* out of date!

Anyway, the iPhone isn't a monopoly like Microsoft's system. The market is totally different in these cases.

ha ha ha, the tagline was cool
and otherwise; Microsoft should quit putting Firefox and Safari in their operating system

Thanx for reacting Chinaren....
But shouldn't those rules/laws followed by everyone..?
So - let's hope (for Apple) the iPad will not be a huge success - otherwise they will have to change their browser/email setup...

Maybe the sales of the iPhones are not as big as in the USA; but in my country the iPhone is making between the 80 and 90 procent of all the mobile phone internet data....!! (in the USA 55% - with second place Android with 20% and the rest way smaller)
So - in a way - this does sound like a monopoly....!!

The difference here is that Microsoft are pretty much a monopoly when it comes to PC operating systems.

Apple, despite what most of the US seems to think, is still quite a small minority when it comes to phones, especially in Europe where it doesn't enjoy as much success as the US.
